Overview
The scope of work for Brown University covered a number of contracts including the painting and repairing of 79 Charlesfield Street, student dormitories, the Geo-Chem Building’s third floor, the Churchill House, and additional residence halls. Heroica Construction also completed interior renovation work at the Swearer Center and exterior painting services for University Hall.

Because Brown University is an academic institution, all of the properties and work involved required time-sensitive repairs and maintenance to accommodate strict deadlines. These services were usually scheduled during school recess and holidays. Brown University requires all of its contractors to not only pay strict adherence to starting and completion dates, but also to complete scheduled work within budget. Heroica Construction has completed all of the contracts for the university before or by deadlines and under budget.
Additionally, Brown University has one of the largest inventories of prominent, historic buildings on the Eastside meaning only the highest quality contractors are awarded work on these types of structures. Heroica has power washed, caulked, and painted several historic buildings over the past five years for Brown University.
Heroica Construction self performed all interior and exterior painting work and the majority of interior fit-out work, giving us the competitive edge to manage labor and material resources to meet aggressive project requirements and deadlines. Brown University confidently awarded multiple contracts to Heroica Construction because we have the bonding and financing to meet the university’s requirements up to $1.5 million in value.
