Overview

Formerly known as Shula’s 347 Grill, The Vig Providence is a brand new sports bar located inside of the Providence Hilton on Atwells Avenue. The newest and most innovative addition to the Providence restaurant lineup will feature a 40-foot custom bar and host a total of 140 happy sports fans.

Outcome

This project required the utmost care in planning and execution, as the restaurant remained in service during renovation to cater to the needs of the hotel and its guests. Heroica Construction served as the general contractor and self-performed many aspects of the renovation work. To fulfill other project scope needs, Heroica diligently recruited, hired and managed a team of subcontractors.

All of the selective demolition, rough carpentry, painting, acoustical ceiling work, job site cleanup, and construction barriers were performed by employees of Heroica Construction. Project managers oversaw the execution of subcontracted work including porcelain and quarry tile flooring, power and lighting, low voltage lines for telephone and networking, plumbing and HVAC, concrete cutting and coring, finished carpentry, glazing and storefront, miscellaneous and ornamental metal, and the installation of engineered T&G wood flooring.

The Heroica Construction team was also responsible for the coordination and, in some cases, the full responsibility for regulatory submissions and reviews such as building permits, Department of Health inspections, and additional approval processes.
